Hello Gentlemen, because of a house move and the fact there is no cable in the street here, I have a new ISP through ADSL, the Router supplied is an ZyXel from the british Post Office, I am having problems now. I cannot cofigure C4 to serve on my server PC, or if I can, I cant access it myself from my player PC. I can PING both PC's through command prompt and get a decent result but C4 with not work. It may be the router or the c4config, I need help with this guys, any ideas?
Regards

set port range as 17200-17500, If the router is pointed at the correct ip and still does not work, try putting the correct stadic ip on each pc and see if that helps.

Thanks Reaper, I did as you suggested and set my server port to 17200, that didnt work, so I then set my static ip on each machine. It sill doesnt work!! DangIt.
I have left my server running to see if anyone else can get in, even if I cant. I cannot think of any resolution to my connection between my computers, I am running Norton Security 2010 on both machines and have tried disabling the firewall on both, but to no avail. if you have any further suggestions I would be glad to hear them.

Which model is it ? I did a search to look at their interface... but they have tons of models

The Model is the P660HW T1 v3 This a link to it <http://www.zyxel.co.uk/web/product_family_detail.php?PC1indexflag=20040812093 058&CategoryGroupNo=52F6AA80-2600-46A1-99F0-F267562EE48D>
After using Command Prompt to ping both computers either way, I am now getting a result on both tests, I have deduced that the problem is within c4 itself, I have now left my server up for two days now, and have had 3 logins. The only problem I get is not being able to access my own server from my player machine. I have tried doing it the other way round using my player machine as a server and I get the same problem. I have also tried disableing all firwalls and I still have the problem.

I had a similar problem once before, but forgot what it was caused from...
The only way I could enter my own server was joining LAN.
IIRC, I solved it by opening port ranges 12000 thru 12500 on both computers and the host pc had DMZ enabled.
That was when I was on DSL, since going to cable it has not been an issue.

Has anyone had any progress on this issue ? I don't really run servers, so I'm not much help here. If a man is going to be generous enough to have one up for everybody, I hate not being able to give him some help... I'll post a link to the manual.

Hi Guys, sorry I have not resolved the problem, I even bought a new router, but the problem is still there. I have, basically given up, but if it is not at all resolvable I will continue to run my server for whoever!

Well gentlemen, with kind regards to DAD, he has shown me a way of me being able to join my own server and show Ping Times on the Server List.
Thanx to all you guys who contributed to solving this problem.

Hey Phaser, if you get a chance, post that solution for everyone. You just might not be the only one suffering from this problem.

Hi blue, sorry Ive taken so long to reply.
The resolution to the problem of joining your own server is quite simple really. First you have to go through the process of getting into the server in the normal way, then when you get rejected, you simply go back two pages and do an IP search in the LAN server list, your server will then appear in the list, you click on it and enter your own server. Everyone else will enter the server in the normal way.

ATB Guys Allow me to add one other thing to getting on to your own server,if you are planning to join your own team death match server you need too do as Phazer said, except one thing you don't to wait tobe rejected all is need is to start wait about 2 or 3 seconds hit your Esc button twice then you can do the rest that Phazer says. But for Death match Server that you maybe running all you need too do is just join.DAD
