df1 terrain tuts

hey guys, i just started making terrains for dflw and i have no problem with them . but i just tried to install them into df1 and i keep getting a wrong hights error and a system dump. do i have to change the .trn format or the .bat file? what do i have to do to convert my dflw terrains to df1

first off dnload the pff extractor from fwo on this site second extract the files in question and compare to what you are trying to put in df1 and dflw //they are little differant.
df1 uses pcx for hieght and colormaps the hieghtmap is 1024x1024 x 1024 pixels per inch at 8/256 colors.not 72 like DFLW.
Also the .trn file is differant than DFLW again extract the .trn file from df1 copy and paste it, change the rerfferances to color and hieght maps to yours, rename it save it (not save as). and pack all of the files into df1.

Dnloading the terrain converter would probably be the fastest solution.:)
Never used it so i'm not sure it will go backwards to df1 from dflw.
