I'm sure most of you have heard or read about the recent development in human cloning, a little girl called "Eve" was born on boxing day 26/12/02.

The scientists which produced this child are part of a cult who believe that we humans were created by extra terrestials.

The Raleans(sp) have quite a lot of members , not sure how many , but enough to help fund this project in total secrecy.

It hasn't actually been confirmed as to whether this has actually happened or is a hoax, but the very fact that people actually want to do this type of experiment, is a very frightening thought for me.

Ok i'm not religious as such but i'm a big believer in babies being born the "natural" way. Testubes are fine also but to produce an exact replica of another human being in my eyes is a step towards the destruction of the human race as we know it, and a step closer to producing "slaves" for the powers that are or will be.

Heres a link to the story (http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2002/12/28/MN244739.DTL)

Heres the future.

Hmmmm, wonder why they didn't opt to clone one of their alien buddies.

Lol its crazy how things quickly get off topic in threads, even as a joke lol.

No comments on the cloned baby?
It is afterall the biggest breakthrough yet in human genetics.

Its nearly as important a message as when the official day of release for BHD is. lol.

It's tiresome having to choose your language before using an atm machine or automated services on the phone.
If a person can't read the constitution before coming here, it shouldn't apply to them.

Cloned baby's mean another mouth to feed....isn't theres enough starving non-cloned baby's in the f***ing world to worry about! :cool2:

Hmm probably what normal babies eat breastmilk, hmm tasty for babies, but if it was an alien/human hybrid baby probably this.

Then if it all went mainstream we'd have to cater for the little critters.

But of course we are talking about human cloned babies, that is a whole new breed of genetically modified humans, and the whole process could be open to abuse.

It was suggested to me that by cloning humans you could harvest organs and use them for the original host. Any moral issues with that ? That should kick start the thread.

I have a moral issue with cloning full stop.
I don't think it should be done, but the fact that it is being tried, might prove either catastrophic or beneficial to mankind.
Obviously i can't see the future but imagine a world where basically life means nothing because you have the power to clone each and every individual, whether it be for replacement parts, or to send them to war( hmm interesting concept).
But what about the clone has that being no rights to live once "born" would it not have any life whatsoever, just existing for the sake of their organs that might be needed, would they be taught at all. However although i'm not for cloning people as such, if they could clone organs alone that would funtion i wouldn't have a prob with that, but not individuals.

As it turns out, the news release was a HOAX... It seems the members just wanted their organization to get its "15 minutes" in the spot light of the news media.

This reminds me of the movie a long while back...I think it was Coma. But is it not true that you don't need a clone for organ harvesting ? All we really need are stem cells... and an 'acceptable' way of getting them so that research can become mainstream.

There was a movie a long time ago, about cloning people for spare parts. They keep the clones secluded somewhere, and made them eat heathy and exercise all day.
Don't recall the name of it though :)
