Hello Gentlemen, I guess you all know about my FUN sever by now, but I have a small problem. My ISP (BT.Yahoo) run a central server (Gloustershire) about 50 miles from my home, every night at 6pm (GMT) or sometimes 9pm (GMT) they switch their server to another one (Usually Worstershire) about 80 miles from my home, to run overnight. This switchover is not a smooth one. I have spoken to them about the loss of service during this period, and the fact that the FUN server goes down because of it. They tell me that I can resolve the problem myself, as there is something called 'Propogation Time Delay' [PTD] incorporated into any game server on the net, all I have to do is set it (easier said than done). Does anybody know of this? and if so, how do I set it up? I know after using the 'C4GETHostManager' that there is a Netdelay in the game which is set to zero, is this the PTD? or are these two not related?
Thankyou in advance.
