No Pilot Name!

Hey Guys,
I have sent an old copy of C4 to a friend of mine (Scarecrow) in Norway, this is version 1.1.15 but I have helped him update it to version 1.1.20, using the c4fixedtkoth.exe file, originaly he could not enter into Novaworld, so he downloaded the IBrowse.dll patch, he also had a problem signing into the logon screen, which we resolved. There now seems to be a problem when entering a multiplayer site, his pilot name will not show! Does anyone know how to resolve this problem? Should he use the Pilot Name Editor? any ideas?

If I am correct this file in the Downloads section of CPD is not the correct C4.EXE you need for the no CD patch :C4 Fixed V.1.0.1.20 This is a fixed C4.exe (V1.0.1.20) that also allows hosting KOTH, TKOTH & and all the rest.

The one he needs is this :Comanche 4 V1.0.1.20 [US/ENGLISH] Fixed EXE Download, unzip and follow the enclosed instructions.

Also, Let me know if he is using the C4 Get player manager.
He should also try right clicking on the file c4plyr.sav witch is located in the comanche 4 folder : "C:\Program Files\NovaLogic\Comanche 4\. And delete it out of that folder, after he delets it out of the folder tell him to exit out of the folder, and go in comanche, and see if that worked. I had this problem a few years back when I first started playing. And this is what I did.

I thought this was the fixed version by Bane, dated March '04...the most recent...I might be wrong....

Not for the No CD patch watch.. I've tried using the c4fixedtkoth for the No CD and it didnt work, Ive always used the other.

My understanding also is that the updated one, c4fixedtkoth.zip. Allows you to host Tkoth and Koth. Witch could also mess up his name I would try putting in the other file as I posted up top there ( because it updates your game to v20). And after that try the v20 koth and tkoth executible.:regan:

Rgr. I have all the updates/ Nova V.15, Banes Fixed V20, NO CD patch, all one one CD, so once I load C4 ON MY pc, I update it under 5 minutes everything I need to get active. So I might have bypassed the step or used a different download than Scarecrow. With 3 kids on my game PC I have to restore my PC A LOT, LOL, so having everything C4 related(including all updates, patches, Joystick profiles, Team Speak stuff, etc, etc.) on a CD gets me going quick. I used to host Koth games, but there hasnt been much interest(:rolleyes: ) so I stopped. I miss it and search and destroy......

Thanx guys, :099.gif: I have Fwd the answer to Scarecrow, he is sorting it l8r 2day, I reckon if someone put up a server 4 koth & search & destroy I would give em a go (something different, innit!) :spin:
