Map Making

Hi Guys, I hope you all had a good Christmas and I wish you all a great New Year....
I am trying my hand at map editing. Firstly, I tried on my Player Computer, but it seems there is something missing from my c4 folder on that PC. So I moved to my Server Computer, and although I have made better progress, I am still running into problems.
What I would like (nay - love) to know is; how do I insert a spawn-respawn point, if I follow the C4med manual, it tells me to goto 'Markers' and select 'Start, Player'. But, there is no 'Start, Player'. The nearest I can find to that is 'Player Start Marker' or 'start, primary, player' but no matter what I do, if I try flying the map, I always spawn right in the middle of the map!? I have even tried connecting my Player Computer to my Server Computer and even then, I spawn right in the middle of the map!? - Can anyone let me know which is the right thing to click on to insert a spawn-respawn point?
If the info I get is right, I'll buy the person a beer!

there are different start markers

for single player, player start marker works, but for multiplayer you must select Red Team start marker or Blue team. Also, if you are making 3 or 4 color maps you need to download at least the c4med4 file (here I think ?) and it also has yellow team and violet team.

there is more to know, but all can be learned if you read all the lists, and do a little experimentation, and also I think there is at least one tutorial (here ?) that helps map making beginners.

If your spawning in the middle of the map then you need to go into General settings and select what sort of map it is...Coop, Death Match and this will determine which marker you will spawn at.
