I'm not sure that CPD, as a public forum, needs to get involved in 'naming' cheaters. However, I'm not sure that it is a bad idea either. So... lets start getting some 'ground rules' together... the following are 2 of my suggestions.
* we start a thread Labeled 'Known Cheaters' or something to that effect.
* unless there is more than one person spotting the cheat - that without a screenshot - we will not permit the publishing of a name.
If we don't adopt some strict guidelines from the start... next thing we know, we have a flaming war... with the accused and their buddies swearing that they don't cheat and then we have an all out war on the forums...OR.. conversely... I have some poor rookies who spend the night in here naming every person who killed them that day just because they fly so poorly they can't pass a tree or building without bouncing their rotors off of them.
While any of this may be great entertainment and increases our visitors for a day or two... it makes for bad feelings and general mayhem here. So.. if someone has a better idea or good suggestions... we'll consider it.
For now though... no offense Red.. I'm going to remove the name. Feel free to PM his name to squad leaders or whoever you know running a server... but I have to stop this in the forums and get a grip on it for right now - for reasons I hope I have made clear.

I hate cheaters as much as any one. But if a community forum is going to list players names as cheaters and since you don't have to log in a pilot name in order to play. Maybe who ever submits a name had better have a ip address to go with it before it gets posted. Even if the ip can't be posted on the site.
All this is going to do is give cheaters the chance to fly under another pilots name to see it get listed as a cheater.
Some thing to think about.

I agree Reaper, and an inexperienced pilot like Blue said might call a perfectly honest pilot a cheat because he shot his arse passive all night. I think we as a community know who the cheaters are....get their IP and ban their arse like we do. I would trust RB's accusation, but would question a non-seasoned pilots...

I understand might be better if you just delete it. From reading some of the other posts, some of the cheats are coming back, Atleast AE40 took care of some of the bigger ones.

Your observation, IMHO, is true Reaper.
As Watchtower said.. even though we can trust Red Baron's fair play and judgement -- without some guidelines... all we would be doing is opening a can of worms.
Red, it is your thread, you can do what you want. However, I really do not want to delete a thread with some of the old timers thinking through and discussing the plausibility of the idea.
