I need help on DF1!!!

Its been a long time since I've played DF so I wanted to start at the begining but I can't connect to nova world, even after updating. some one please help me.

you must open certin ports in your firewall forget off hand but do a search here and your'll find the answer. the same ports need to be open for df1 - dftfd and i believe dfbhd and ts .
