I been having problems with not being able to get players to trip an area trigger. I check it out and well theres no ID or SSN for the player. or am I missing some thing. I'm not sure about what to do. If I setup an area trigger and want the player to trip it.
It doesn't work
Hope that helps

Set your players to a group (Good-Blue).
Make sure you set the events to trigger on that group.
Group (1) has entered area trigger (1)

I am going to warn you one more time Joe - you either put your Posts in the correct forum - or I am going to either:
1. Remove your post. (And all of your previous posts)
or
2. Remove your ability to post. (And your account)
I have too much to do - to have to clean up after you. Apparently, you decided to ignore my post (http://www.checkpointdelta.net/showthread.php?p=21137#post21137) about this.
Next time you break the rules, a letter to ZAK will not get you back in.

Ok, first off this is the first time I even heard about it. 2nd of all I havn't been able to get on here to contact any one. I didn't know what to do. So I contacted ZAK. to get a hold of some one. 3rd, as far as I know it's not in the wrong formum. If I ask a question about C4 in the C4 forum, how is that in the wrong Forum. Right. If you look at the top. It say C4 map editing. SO I want you to tell me how in this in the wrong forum.

Ok, after reading the post you added to that forum. I never got it. and you closed it so that mite be why. I have your system to send me emails when people reply to my post. Well I never got a post back from that. So look I NO idea why. For some reason. When you post a message. I'm not getting an email about it. The only reason I fount this one, is that some some one else reply to my post.
Tom and I couldn't find out how to do this. So he when to others forums to get this information. and that was over a week ago.
and I don't even have a manual that more them 20 pages. and I never got your sample untill now
So I have NO idea on whats going on, I'm lost

This is in the right Forum. I'm asking about C4 so it is in the right forum. and you deleted my other post. so the information is gone. So How do I get that information. I NEED IT
and I'm looking over the squib sample that you sent me. Sorry I never got it. Thanks
YOU HAVE TO SEND ME AN EMAIL. For some reason I'm not getting your post.
and IF I do some thing wrong, PLEASE send me an email.
See If I don't get any post form the forum and NO emails telling that I have a message waiting. More then likly I won't return to the forum. I never do. I go some where else

You can download the manual here (http://www.checkpointdelta.net/cgi-bin/db.cgi?db=file&uid=default&Game=BHD&sb=1&so=ascend&view_records=1&mh=16).
It is in the right forum - BECAUSE I PUT IT HERE.
You keep posting in the C4 Game forum - not the C4 Map editing forum.
I can do nothing about about the automatic forum mailer notifying you about my responses and I do not have time to email everyone when I reply to their post Joe, I am sorry. I will do it this time - but it will be the last.
Again, I am sorry that I cannot personally notify you when I post.

I already have those manuals, and they didn't say any thing about squib. how ever I will check again.
Ok, so maybe thats where I'm screwing up at. The only questions I have are map making. I have to check that to.
Let me check again.
Oh, now I see what your talking about. I was placing my post in the C4 Gaming area and not the C4 maping area.. I wish I could have been told soon, sorry
Like I was telling some one else. My eye site is that bad. Again I'm sorry I didn't know
thanks for your help

Do this Joe.
Open the editor with the map in it. Go to Edit -> Events. When that window opens - look in the lower right hand corner and choose Print All Events. Save the text file as events.txt. Close the editor. Open the text file and copy and paste what is in that file in here so we can see what you have.

Bluetiereign;21324]You can download the manual here (http://www.checkpointdelta.net/cgi-bin/db.cgi?db=file&uid=default&Game=BHD&sb=1&so=ascend&view_records=1&mh=16).
Ok, as you wanted me to, I check those manauls out again. Well Blue.
1 of the manuals is only 9 pages long, the other one I have is 21 pages long and the one thats on the cd is only 16. I need that 40 page manual you were telling me about.

Try this link. (http://www.checkpointdelta.net/cgi-bin/load.cgi?dfbhdmanual.zip) If you can't figure it out from the manual, send me the .mis, .til, .bin and wac file...I'll take a look.

After you set your "player start marker" highlight it and open its attributes. In the AI Variables - "Team" set this to "Good (Blue)"
Even though it says "Team" for the "player start marker" you will still use "Group" in the events set up.
So it should look like-
IF (Triggers)
Trigger Type = Group
Trigger Condition = Group Area Trigger
Triggered if = True
Trigger Variables
Group = 1-Blue Players
Area = (What ever number you set your area trigger for.)
THEN (Action)
Set Action Type to what ever outcome you want to happen after the trigger is tripped.

Ok, blue thanks for the manual. as I thought we are talking about an other game. The manual you sent me is for BHD. I'm talking about Comanche 4.
and the bridge problem is also in comanche 4 as well. I have no idea where your got the idea that it was DF BHD. Doesn't matter I guess.
At the top. it says comache 4 map editing. so np
I will check that one out any way.
Charger. Thanks. That work like a charm.
whats was happening is that the player start maker wasn't setting it self as blue. it keeps resetting it self to green. and I have no idea way.
thats cool. It works now. Grin. This problem just sucks when you can't get things to work that way they should work.
thanks again for your help

You apparently don't have the DFBHD Manual. That manual is 40 pages long.
This discussion was based your apparent refusal to post in the right forums, read manuals and use search - A totally different discussion. If you need another reminder, please reference this thread (http://www.checkpointdelta.net/showthread.php?t=4396).

Again, this was a totally different discussion - about a different matter entirely (you not having a manual over 20 pages long).
As I am the one who spent the time moving your posts to the correct place until you finally figured it out, I am well aware what this forum says at the top. Rather catty (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=catty) little comment there - even for you Joe.
Novalogic's manuals and MED's are much the same for every game - what you may not figure or find out in one - you may find in another. Whether I referenced the C4 manual or BHD manual in your Bridge post - I gave you a solution.
