I watched the new version tonight, hmm it was okay for light entertainment, but i couldn't help comparing it to the original.

Okay the original is maybe a bit corny now but for story and plot it far out ranks the new one. C'mon in the first one Charleton Heston was the only human who could speak , but the new one all humans could.

Remember the famous "Get your **** paws of me you dirty ape" line.

Well the new one an ape says "Get your **** hands of me you dirty human"
That was to cheesy for me, they were trying for a different approach and well i don't think that was very original.

Idon't want to say to much for those who haven't actually seen it but might want to, just that if you do and you remember the orignal then you will always be comparing the two.

Nothing else to watch then get it but if you have seen the original you might be dissapointed.:1drink.gif:

Charlton Heston is in that movie as well. The sick ape in the bed speaking with his son the General is Heston.

Yup thats correct Pacman, Charleton Heston was that chimp. Also Michael Jackson starred, not sure which one take your pic :lol:

i would like to see the old movie's redone w/todays tech , but keep the plot and scene's the same :icon_beer.gif:

The apes in the original still look kool today :thumb: I had the action figures, growing up :)
