Thought I'd get something going here cause the more I thought about it the more I liked this forum. It might be a good place to chat over some movies missed and some maybe best missed..hehe. Anyway, Though I haven't seen Black Hawk Down yet I can say that just by the previews I will like the movie because I am so fascinated by Combat type situations. I especially like to watch anything related to NAVY seals, SWAT and the like on the discovery channel. I can’t say I have an all time favorite movie but if I had to choose it would be MATRIX cause just like Max Payne “Bullet Time” is the best thing going. Argue that point I dare ya! As far as theatre goes, I think the last thing I saw in a theatre was…hmmm…lemme see now…what year were those around in? :D:P

Matrix, ahh yeah…its that movie with that dude from Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure which was a mighty fine movie I might add, anyway, it has something to do with this guy, Mobus or Ralf or something like that, well he was a computer generated alien, I think and then the dude with the bullet time routine…oh yeah he also played in SPEED, or was that Mutha, Jugs and Speed, hmm I don’t know but anyway, he met up with the Mobus dude by fallowing the White Rabbit and they sorta found out that they both could do that bullet time thingy real good, especially when those MIB’s came in and tried to pull the plug on his Packard Bell computer cause they were sick and tired of him always calling them and complaining that the **** thing wouldn’t boot up right and that it was still under warranty and all…oh wait, no…that was something that happen to me…sorry, then I got this new computer and the Mobus dude had to die cause he was not that good with Gif Animator 5 and then right in the end of the movie Neo turned out to be the lucky one cause he got to hang out with that chick in the leather pants :D

i wasn't all that impressed with blackhawk down, idunno maybe i was expecting too much.
it just seemed like ridley was so pressured by the dod to make it accurate that he didn't have room to make a movie, just a documentory.
(without the cooperation from the dod, ridley would have had to name the movie "Huey Down" since only the mil has blackhawks)

Yeah I heard that it was more like a documentary then a movie which is okay with me cause I just like seeing explosions and stuff flying all over the place. Plan to rent it this weekend so maybe if your lucky I just might give you MY point of view on it…hehe. Oh yeah and I re-watched MATRIX yesterday, ****…the one I mentioned before was an entirely different movie but I think they used allot of the Matrix stuff in it and changed the names a little…what a rip off!

BLACK HAWK DOWN
Well I sat through ever intense action scene wishing I was there but at the very same time I was thanking God I wasn’t. I’m somewhat lost for a reason as to why we needed to get our ass kicked for a few prisoners and of course I can sit here and have the all time solution for the whole situation, NUKE THE BASTARDS! But I understand its not that simple, guess that’s politics of it. This movie was defiantly meant to tell a story and I gotta say it wasn’t dolled up with Hollywood glamour which made it even better. It actually told the grime and realistic side of the lives of these solders. I got the unmistakable message that TEAM work is the key to a successful mission no matter what kind of odds you up against. Wish people I’ve played with on Delta Force had that attitude when playing because a lot of people tend to have that “I’m An Army of One” attitude when playing in a COOP mission, very discouraging. I’m interested in the mechanics of Combat Tactics and have a general interest weapons so watching this movie was worth it on that level and it held my attention because I was concerned as to the outcome of those men plus seeing some of this in the news as it was happening gave that much more of a purpose to see. If I had to rate this movie on a scale from one to ten I give it a nine for its ability to present an account of an event that took place in our lives and a ten for the effects, I found myself ducking at every RPG fired...

I'd have to agree with Charger on the Matrix being my favorite. After all if you see any movies since Matrix that seem to stop time and show action in slow motion they just dont compare. As far as the pc, I think it was a mid-tower hewlet packard that had to be modified to fit a geforce 4 TI 4400 into it....or maybe that was someone else (lol). As for Black Hawk Down I thought it was a very good movie; the kind you dont want to miss a second of.

There it is again…the Hewlett Packard/Packard Bell theory. I think I read something in UFO TIMES about this. This guy built a flying saucer from an old Volkswagen, reverse technology of course and installed a 75MHz Packard Bell with a case less 1.44 floppy drive and a 500MB hard drive riveted to the chasse of the desktop then glued the whole computer with Elmer’s to ceiling of the VW Bug. But as he was calling to Huston for flight clearance he mistakenly called it a Hewlett Packard…this has been such a mystery to me for a long time now… :o
