c4.exe Problem (fubar)

Hey Guys, :help: can anyone advise me:-
I have loaded my C4 disk onto my old and new computer, on the old PC, it works, but, on the new PC it don't!! = I get a window stating :-

"c4.exe - Application Error"
"The application failed to initialize properly (0x0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application."

What version of windows? Do you have SP-2 installed?

I've had the same problem at times myself. From what little information I've found in the windows error reporting logs the (0x0000005) part of the error is refering to a memory issue. I used to get the same error any time I would run the map editer, for C4 or BHD, on my gaming PC. I just recently changed my ram configuration and have a clean XP instal with SP2 and no longer get any error with the editer. I would suggest either replacing the RAM or atleast getting the ram checked out.

I was having the same problem you were Phaser , followed Reapers url , downloaded the fix , and it solved the exe problem.

I have now resolved the problem with the Ibrowse.dll update and will be back online and killin' as many of you as I can, seems ironic huh?
