If I create a tunnel through a hill and the hill extends above the tunnel, then a waypoint path for a vehicle to pass through it. The vehicle will still follow the z of the terrain and may drive out the top of the tunnel to follow the terrain. Is that correct?
Is there a way make the vehicle remain driving at the altitude of the base of the tunnel as it apsses through, without poppin out of the top?
Or must I use teleporting?
Thanks

I don't think the coding needed to create 'real' tunnels (through terrain) in C4 was in the game's engine. I could be wrong. I tried making a tunnel object with the BHD Modding tools and converting it to use in C4 - but the conversion wouldn't work. The BHD engine is the C4 engine after a few additions. Apparently... there were a few other things not in yet built in. Lighting effects didn't seem to work either - but animations did (http://www.checkpointdelta.net/temp/c4anim.wmv).
The long and short of this.. use teleport.

OK, I'll admit it. WOW
I assume that was a video screen capture of the flight (with background music) to the location where the animations had been placed. Therefore, animations can be put in the map with the C4 med and events?
Do you know how to do the animation events and could you tell me?
The larger the animation the larger the download?
And I'm guessing the video capture of the flight would be humongous?
Thanks Blue
Oh and that tunnel thing, after that animation, well forget it. haha
No, seriously I suspected as much. But one can dream.
Just put the vehicles going in, hit a waypoint, and teleport to a new set of waypoints. Have to put a delay in also to make more realistic for the time in the tunnel.

The movie was a fraps capture while I was testing the animation capabilities in C4. I put them in an old map I had made - based off of one one of Rüstinsk's maps. The 'background music' was the music that happened to be playing on my favorite web radio station - Synerdata (http://synerdata.com/) - when I was modeling and testing that night. That film was made in Sept. 2004.
Sorry Mac, I just don't have the time to teach you animation. However, the instructions are all there in the BHD mod tool package - along with the tools to do it.
Before editing - the capture itself is a very large file. Capturing that size of scene is hard on a computer - especially when animations are included.

AHHH, so it takes a mod to the C4 in order run an animation if I were to build one for a C4 map?
An animation included in a map would create a larger than normal C4 download and associated files also?
That was really a nice video and the animation was very interesting to watch. Goos work Blue!
