ZAK's map and the need to dowloand and install a large mod, brings up a couple of questions I have been wanting to ask and this seems like the right thread to do so.
1- Is there a large majority of the C4 enthusiast community that uses the mods and their related large size map files?
2- Or do you prefer to download and play the smaller map file sizes without modding the standard C4 package?
I like Mods:singing: , one has there more Possibilities for new Missions.
all Terains in C4 have Little Place for a Big City.
Example is the the Mission Werewolf with the Stadium, or Thunder Heat and the Night Version from Thunder Heat with the Nuclear Silos and the smal Airbase and the Chemical Fabrik.
My first Mod for a Games was the Terranova Mod for DF2 with new Missions and Terrains :singing:
I don't know about the COOP players but unfortunately the multi player community never did much with the mods. IMHO mods are great. They add more content to the game, more playing option and add life span to a game. And best of all there free from the community. I think most players are just intimidated by the word MOD. Afraid it will effect normal game play. A mod just adds extra content to an existing game. It doesn't change the content already there. So doesn't effect the game play in un modded servers. If your still uncertain about the effects of a mod on your game. Just copy your C4 folder to another location. You can use the mods on one copy and still have a copy thats unchanged.

One thing that does help is , if a person is putting up a map for download that has been designed using certain mods , that the information on what mods were used, be included with the map description so you don't end up like jonny dude , with a map you can't play.

sorry about the double post but When I tried to install the EXP mod I unzipped all the files into the BHD main directory then I went to install. Everthing was going fine then it came up that it couldn't create a new verson of the bhd MED. I loaded up scud hunter anyway and I still start off in water with 2 rangers and nowhere to go. Ive deleted all the EXP files now so i can start again
?

When you Installed the Mod muss you the new Linkage on your Desktop using.
The EXP Mod make 2 New Linkage on your Desktop 1 for the Game 2 is the MED
The Install Routine from Terranova ExP make in the Mod Folder from BHD a PFF File with the name (terranova.pff)
The new Icon on you Desktop, in the Linkage stand write ("C:\Program\NovaLogic\Delta Force Black Hawk Down\dfbhd.exe" /mod terranova)
In the Standard Linkage from BHD Stand ("D:\Program\NovaLogic\Delta Force Black Hawk Down\dfbhd.exe")
I will you send a E-Mail, but you Mail Adress is not Selectable.

its just the normal bhd screen with the medu when it loads up

Try looking in the med editer and make sure the spawn markers are in the right spot. And make sure they are the right type spawn marker also. I've had maps made for one game type and usd the wrong spawn markers before. That will cause you to spawn in the middle of nowhere.

If your not getting the Terranova load screens it's not loading the mod. Check the target line in your desktop shortcut or try starting the game from the EXE in the BHD folder.
