Neigther Quick Setup or Options/Controls will let me "enable throttle". I am using CH Control Manager in "mapped mode" so I can use CH Fighterstick, Throttle, and Pedals in the game. I want the throttle axis to work as collective increase and decrease. (The throttle works fine in the game except for this function.) Anyone know how to do this?
Thanks

Sorry, I should have said the game I'm using is Comanche 4.

Really wish I could help you... but I use a logitech. Seems like that would be more fun to use in one of the newer fps's though. Like Joint Ops or Battlefield2.

Thanks anyway, but maybe you can help me with how you work the commands in C4? The only manual I have is the very limited one that came with the game (is there a better one available anywhere?) and it doesn't say how you send a command that you type in and where it goes. I can see how you send a command to your teamate via the Teamate Handoff (6 key) and the Teamate Commands (7 key)- by selecting the number and then the command selected by number automatically goes out.
I'm guessing that the Team Talk, Talk (Text), and Recent Messages are used only when you are working over the internet in a team game?
That leaves the Command Prompt and I can type words into it after I hit the ~ key, but what is it used for (other than to input cheats I've read) and how do you send the commands? The only key I've found that does anything is Escape, which turns it off.
Thanks

If you can be specific about what you are wanting to do.. we can go from there. I know of no other manual. The 'talk' buttons are for online multiplayer, though many people playing today use voice chat.

Thanks anyway. I downloaded a free a Strategy Guide, which seems to be a pretty good manual although I haven't read it in detail yet, at http://db.gamefaqs.com/computer/doswin/file/comanche_4.txt . The answer I was looking for was the only key I obviously didn't try. To send the message you type in to Command Prompt (~), you just hit ENTER, which seems obvious to me now.

WildBill, After you have become familiar with all the missions that come with the Comanche 4 (C4), and there are many, you might be happy to know that there are many many more that have been expertly built by other C4 enthusiasts. Many of them visit this CPD site frequently and are in my estimation, Master Mappers.
The people providing help in C4 here on CPD are great and most have been assisting others (like myself) since 2002.
Once you have gained a good appreciation for the game, you may even want to consider building a mission (map) yourself. There is an editor (mission builder) available and a very good manual here on CPD to help you build maps also. Again, you can find more information on all of this here on CPD.
Welcome to the Comanache 4 community here on CPD. Keep the oily side down and watch your rotor wash.
