just a quick question, is it possible to play a game (single player) on a laptop and get any kind of decent results? Even if the laptop meets the requirements of the game as for memory and such I'm thinking that a laptop probably just doesnt have the "power" to effectively run any recent games. (without spending a few thousand dollars)
any one have any thoughts or experiences with this? thanxs!

Hi monkeydog , first let me thank you for the welcome back that you gave me, as far as the laptop being able to play games(even recent ones) they work great, one thing you might want to purchase would be a mouse for it,it's not a neccessity but sure does help with certain games.. Newer laptops are equipped with processors and video cards that are better than some of the home computers i've owned.Over heating is an issue though for extended hours of play , because of everything being so compact, but there are things to purchase for cooling help also(not to expensive).. I've played some games on my sons laptop and it just blew my mind with the capabilities that little thing had.. Hope that helped ya...:tumble:

thanxs doorway! good to hear from ya. My brother in law is thinking of getting one . I'll pass your info along to him. I was surprised to hear that they have that capability. Ive never fooled with one myself, figured they were just good for doing office work.
thanxs again , and once again its good to have you back!:)
