help!! graphics problem on tfd

hi everyone, been a long time

i need some help, a friend of mine has tfd however after installing and updating the game he has been having graphics problems... problems include: white trucks, white weapons & some blds are white allso. i have heard of the terrain being white or gray.. but never the trucks - weapons n blds, so im stumped.

GeForce FX 5200 (with latest drivers from nvidia)

something may have burnt out his card. not playing any major games his card can barely handle is he? does he have the ability to play other games with no problem?

It sounds as if the skin files aren't loading from the pff - which could mean a corrupt pff. But when loading without skins while testing a 3di in BHD (a later engine), the default skin is black, not white. This might be worth a look.

Faulty pff's for me usually mean a failing CDROM... which is usually a signal that my power supply is ready to go...

..Just food for thought.

when you say latest drivers,,,,,,, does that mean version 81.98 ? I had the same problem with jo after I loaded dfx up. for 2 months I didnt play them. The latest drivers I had was 71.84 or something. They release drivers faster than I release gas. so check again. (its cheaper too!)
