Our company's Maintenance Services were being 'sub-contracted' to another company. I was already the maintenance supervisor at my facility - but had to interview again to get my job ( this company is now gone - and I had to interview again to keep my job...lol). Anyway, there were about 25-30 of us in the same situation. We were meeting in a room when several of the representives of the company that was interviewing us started getting text messages that NYC was under attack (they had businesses in NYC). Then, they started getting phone calls. They finally told us why they were looking so scared and shocked (some of them had family in NYC).
Well, one of us finally spoke up and suggested that maybe we should go home - that we might be at war. It wasn't until after 3:00pm that I saw the first images of the attacks.

I had a soccer game that day in PA but it was cancled. I remember hearing the news and leaving biolody for an assembly, we had no clue it was so bad. My pastor/ pricipal was on his way to the white house to meet with the president w/ a group of pastors. Also, a friends dad worked in an air traffic control tower close to DC... Scary stuff to think on, but i do believe God was watching out for us, but bless the families of those lost in that tragedy.

Was at home working on my computer when my girlfriend called me from a meeting to tell me a plane hit one of the twin towers in NY. I flicked on the TV probably minutes after the first plane hit, watching live news thinking some drunk pilot crashed his plane into the tower, in fact the news was speculating it was a freak accident until I watched the second plane hitting the other tower. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up and I started to get panicky as to what was going on. I just know that watching it unfold..with the towers falling seemed like I was watching a hollywood movie or something, the true reality of it didn't start to hit till later in the day.

I missed school that day. I turned on the TV to find a huge tower smoking up, with the headline: Plane collides into Twin Towers.
