When I log in at Novaworld and try to play in the europe-section there are no servers displayed. What am I doing wrong?

Nice... real nice.. a brand new forum member and you tell him this.

Actually the answer is, playing a Novalogic game.

Seriously though - try checking your firewall settings ( if you can't find US servers either ) or updating the game. Good luck bud.. let us know what happens.

I try to update the game, but I only get server timeout.

Now it worked!! It was rhe update-thing.

I've had update problems with several Nova games. On some install of a game the update will work other times it doesnt. If the in game updater doesn't work just go to the Nova website and download the update from there. Then you just install it from the file on your PC. I try to keep the most current updates for all the games I have either on CD or on a back up hard drive so if I have to reinstall a game I don't need to wait on downloading anything to play.
