Hi!
I Bought DFX recently and I installed the game sucessfully and even passed the video card test (I have a Ge Force 5900 FX), but when I'm playing (single player or multiplayer), the game crashes after some 10 to 15 minutes...sometimes even faster than this.
I downloaded and installed the latest nvidia drivers but the problem persists...
Does anyone know what I have to do?
Thanks,
Joćo Santos

List some of your computer specs to help out in the search.

Does the game crash - or your system ?
Hello :waving.gif: , test the predecessors driver, i have a FX5950Ultra with the Driver version 77.76. and XP SP2
Have you a 2 HDD? make a new Install from you OS and install the driver abd DFX, Looking whether the problem comes back.
PS: what for a System config have you? is you Power supply good?
Posting you Data from you Power supply here. Amper, voltage, of the 3,3volt and 12volt, 5 volt.

Hi!
I closed all the unacessary programs, installed DFX again an the driver file 77.72_win2kxp_international_whql (I'm going to search for 77.76 that ZAK proposed) that I found in the Nvidia site but the problem persists. After 11 minutes playing in multiplayer mode I had the problem...
The computer shutdowns and the message 'power saving mode' appears...and then restarts by itself.
My computer specs are:
- 1 HDD (HDD means hard disk drive, right?)
- Intel pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.2GHz and 1GB RAM;
- Video Card: Nvidia Ge Force FX 5900XT (i have the option 32 bits color selected);
- Main Board: 875P Neo P Series (MS-6758(v2.X) ATX Mainboard) - Version 2.0 G52-M6758X8;
About the mainboard I'm not sure, I just found a manual with the information I wrote above.
ZAK, where can I found the information about power supply? I didn't find it...
Thanks for your replys and interest.

Is it just DFX that crashes or your computer shuts down only when you play DFX?

This sounds like one of two things:
Either your computer is not recognizing you playing a game - and it is going into power saver mode -or- it is a driver/video card problem.
If you are running XP, Check your power saving options (http://ict.cas.psu.edu/Training/HowTo/ENComputers/Hibernation.html) - and change them all to never. If that doesn't work, download a file that removes all the old nVidia Drivers (http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3233.html) and install and run it. (there could be a conflict happening) and then try reinstalling your drivers.
You might check your nVidia Temperature settings - to make sure your video cards temperature is not getting too high -or- that your threshold is not set too low. If your temp is above 55C just sitting there - make sure your video card's fan ( all your fans, for that matter) are cleaned and running.
Also, make sure you have the latest DirectX (9c) installed.
