Now I am beginning to see why everyone in the Nova forums is saying... 'We are waiting, but we aren't waiting on Nova (and a patch) - we're waiting on EA and BF2."

I agree with Ed but I don't think most people would have a problem playing it, though factors are involved such as internet connection, modem, ISP, etc. I think the degrees of frame loss you might get will depend on your graphics card...Recommended are allways higher and just means to get the full potential of the game it may run better at the recommended. It's probably safe to say that if you have 56K modem and less then 1GHz processor, you might as well hang it up.

If any of you are now playing Battlefield Vietnam it won't be too much different than that. For those of you who don't know, DICE bought out the Desert Combat Mod crew and put them to work on BF2, and I'm sure there'll be a few problems, but not too many. In their Desert Combat releases for Battlefield 1942, they had pretty much worked out most of the bugs BEFORE they released each upgrade - I'm sure they'll put the same on this. BF2 is running on the same game engine as BF:V but it's been modified or upgraded also.
It's basically the same as running newer versions of DF, if your machine was equal to or slightly higher than the minimum, you turned down settings so that you could play - I'm sure this will happen in BF2 also.... :icon_beer.gif:

Charger, I thought that 56k and less than 1 Ghz Processors went the way of the Commodor 64 and old Apple machines.....

You actually own a Packard Bell...I mean still? My first PC, that actually had a hard drive and a cd rom was a PB, 75MHz, and lemme tell you that 75MHz was a fast azzed computer in that day (1902?)...think the HD was like 5MB or something. :crazy257.gif:

lol. i just gutted a PB for its ram, some people will pay for those old little sticks predating sd-ram by a few million years.... the ram was the only thing worth the time though.

Yeah that was it...8mb. I just remeber I had so many problems with that computer. While it was under warranty I had to have a HD changed, then a few weeks after the warranty expired, and of course I didn't get the extended warranty, the monitor blow up and then the motherboard died...good 'ol PB, ya gotta love em!
Weee just sitting here on my new machine waiting on BF2.
