Popular online gaming service faces an uphill battle.

(PRWEB) February 24, 2005 -- Recently entertainment software developer NovaLogic, Inc. has reportedly been inundated with complaints of cheating and misconduct by members of its popular Novaworld online gaming service. An unnamed source from NovaLogic claims the company seldom investigates reports of cheating and in most cases players can effectively cheat on public servers without restriction. “Cheating is an ongoing occurrence and we do not have the necessary resources or manpower to effectively combat the problem” says the NovaLogic employee.

After doing a search on Google for Delta Force and Joint Operation cheats, I was able to find dozens of discussion boards that are actively distributing software that give players a significant unfair advantage over honest players. I had the opportunity to talk with Mr. S. Parker the developer of the widely distributed Parker Hack. Parker claims he has supplied thousands of players with public builds of his hacks, and dozens of select players with custom hacks that cannot be detected by the company’s anti-cheat system.

“Nova is a big joke, I could go into any public server right now and cheat and they can’t stop me. Nova makes it so easy to keep coding cheats and I am going to keep doing it. Some of the top players use my custom hacks and Nova administrators know all about it. I even supplied a forum moderator and members of his squad with cheats for free, in return he would delete or lock posts of players I did not like.” says Parker.

Hopefully NovaLogic will find a solution to combat the latest exploits, and make playing their various titles on public servers an enjoyable experience again. If NovaLogic can succeed in largely eliminating cheating on public servers, we may even see other developers pursue similar measures with their online titles.

Nova is not going to battle cheaters, They never have. The way they implimented PB was a joke. A little eye candy to shut up the drones. They wont even put out a patch for game bugs in a timly manner. How are they going to update cheat software weekly.

I stoped playing the nova servers for JO, JOE over a month ago. I just had enough. This after looking forward to those games for over a year.

They can stick Delta reloaded, I am not buying one more of their games when they wont take care of what I already paid for. The next release will wont be out 2 weeks before there are hacks for it.

We saw them being used in the Jo demo almost as soon as it was released.

Well, it's a good thought, to combat cheating, but I dont know if it'll work. My mind set now is: just try to get as much fun out of playing, then, when things seem to suspect of cheating, leave.

Many years ago I got so burnt on the cheaters that I quit playing Nova all together , but after awhile I figured why should I not play something that I enjoy, that's when I went to strictly coop. There is no need for cheats in coop at least. The only thing you're trying to beat there are computer controlled AI , not trying to out do another human. You'll find cheaters every where you go and no matter what you're doing. It's hard to remember that a person who uses cheats in a game , uses the same cheats in everyday life.So they are not, in reality , just a loser in the game , but a loser in life as well. Cheaters need :help: and if you cheat, here's a sign for ya hold :stupid2: .
p.s. Oh I almost forgot, Mr.S.Parker you are a frigging idiot. And believe me your so called"Top Players" that you say use your hacks, is proof that they are not"Top Players" but are losers, just like you.

I find it very hard to understand the mentality behind people who think a simple game designed to have fun and enjoyment needs to be hacked. I think it comes down to laziness, or lack of skill, probably both.

I truly believe that these people only play the game for the cheat and would other wise have nothing to do with it.

I for one don't like to down grade my fellow man but as we've all said at one point of another...these guys are defiantly LOSERS!

Maybe it's just the interal instinct to be #1............or a social compulsion/desire to be the best, Hence we have Cheaters.

We see it all the time, it's all around us, no matter what we do, I think it is unfortunate, but it is a reality,

As for the experiences in gaming, easy solution,,,,,,,BAN the SOB's
