In the latest post from Mr. French he asks the question:
“I have a quick question for you all: Would you rather see more frequent updates or more stable updates?”
For those of you who wish to take part in little unofficial Nile beta testing can check out NovaWorld forums in Joint Ops: Nile + Map Forum, in a sticky post near the top of that forum (named Updates), read the thread dealing with this new venture Nova is taking on to try and please both sides of the coin in the ever controversial matter of Nile updates.
You can chose to download un-tested updates that may or may not work and give some positive feed back to Mr. French, or you can chose to just sit back and wait for more stable updates as they come. This way the peps who want frequent updates can risk crashes and sysdumps while other will benefit from the mistakes and get a nice stable update when it come out (hopefully). Please read the threads in that forum carefully before you decide to take on this task so you know what you’re getting into. If you chose to take part in the testing, be advised that you should refrain from making a map that you plan to release. With one update my Nile crashed and burned but this is what you should expect in taking part. If you decide not to take part then just don’t make the changes Mr. French suggests in the post and do nothing but wait out the official updates as they come.
