This program was built for Comanche 4 in 'Serve Only' & 'NovaWorld' Host Options. Host-Mgr allows many options to be changed without taking down a server to change them. It also allows Host Information/Options to be viewed without taking down the server also.


Download, Scan for Virus as Usual, Unzip, Click the EXE install file. After Installation Read the Help-Host-Mgr Link on Desktop.

Hi AV and all the C4GET, team i have run the host mgr for a while now and i am pleased to say all is good once i figuerd out how to use it (that didn't take long BTW)
Im glad that you made the respaun timer adjustable!! that was a great idea
Sorry to see that the 8h message is not adjustable and that you are stuck with it all the time (or maby im wrong)

The only other thing is that i had to rename all of my extra maps to 11.3 format for the rotation to work properly but i concider that "nitpicking"

But what you have provided the C4 comunity is truly price less and i cant thank you guys enough!!

I have done all of that AA and I have closed the AutoExplode also.

Looks like the manager cant see, read or detect that the game is running or something, I allways get the ''10-60 sec. Try later'' mesage.

The 8H AP automatic message is hard coded, can not be changed.

3. This is for C4 V20, "Fixed". But it should work with the Original C4.exe.

I have never tested it while running AE.

Hey Unot lets try a diffrent approch!!
It could be other services on your PC that is blocking comunication between host mgr & the game?

Have you tried closing down your fire wall and/or antivirus?
Just temporally for a test!!

Tried it on the other server and can not close the c4 window, stays on the c4 host screen, can not get back to the desttop to start the mgr. tried alt tab, control alt del, and the widows key, any help, and yes v20

Yes i have found that its very sencivitive to the use of alt/tab keys i have learnd to use the windows key instead to avoide server crashes!!

I know this is really dumb and i really hate to ask but is host mgr in the C4 root directoy?

Also i take it the alt/tab keys worked before the host mgr instal? and now they don't when you run host mgr? is this just on the C4 server screen or any window that you open like email for example?

Any info may point to a clue?

So when you alt/tab out of the server screen it just freezes your PC and nothing works and you have to reboot? and this is the same when you press the windows key and ctrl/alt/delete?

Modify the value named "CoolSwitch" and set it to "0" to disable task switching or "1" to enable it.


Logoff or restart Windows for the changes to take effect.

Run a server, then run host mgr, then use 8h & boath the server mesages then alt/tab and let it sit for a mo
Then while all this is going on run C4 again and go to your own server and have a play i know its not important and this situation is very unusual but the results might be of intrest to you???

I know this is not the way you wanted it but there is a bug in it u can play 8h and no one knows, theres a hole squad that is doing it. When u came out with the 1st one I was going to try it but was told by this squad it would realy mess your computer up, that they had tried it and had to reinstall everything, but the next week or so they where unbeatable said they all upgraded there computers, lol didnt think to much about it at the time , but when I could not get your 2nd mgr to work I tried your 1st and it is there. Send me an e-mail if u need more info.

I support any effort 100% to keep the game honest and fair for all, and CFS has supported Avengers quest to make this a (better) reality, this is his creation, and he has worked very,very hard on it, and we have all put it through the test.....8HAP has only been available to CFS untill just a couple of weeks ago, when he released it to the general public. So I am curious if what RB is saying is related to bypassing AE and flying 8H? Because I dont think SAI has flown in a 8H-AP(with the host-manager) server in a match as of yet(correct me if Im wrong RB)....so is it AE(first or second version) that he is talking about?
If it is becoming(as RB states) a wide spread practice that one can bypass AE or 8HAP by manipulating the game, then how do we know who is honestly flying 3H? How is there going to be any trust amongst squads who match each other? A shame adults(and most of us in C4 are old farts, LOL) cant play like adults and not cheat...thats why I think it comical, almost a great idea, to try a match in 8H and see what happens! If it is skills that pay the bills, then lets have two squads(who are in dispute...SAI and ????) play one match 3H, then play 8H! Same pilots, same maps! See how the ranking goes then!Hmmmmmmmmmmmm....Red you starting something here.............just make sure we all see the results.......

The Host-Mgr was built for Serve Only. When you Serve a Game then run C4 Again and join that game all on the same Machine, your connection and CPU is not Serve Only even thou it will be listed as dedicated. I never tried putting up 10 C4 Servers off of 1 machine. LOL

When I came out with the 1st one?:: I've only released one Host-Mgr. There was never a 2nd Host-Mgr. Are you talking about AE?
I yet to see any 'Serve Only' situations where someone can fly Easy Difficulty Level (8H) with the Host-Mgr running 8H-AP.

AirAvenger I did not make that post to make u mad I know you guys put in a lot of time and hard work into it, and I thank you guys for it. The easy fix for this maybe that all servers have to run the host mgr, no I did not try to get in any server running the host mgr, there where none up at the time that I know of. The 2 host mgr's I was talking about, one is in the download section here at CPD and the other one from the link on the e-mail that Watchtower sent out.
Again I apologize to you and the Get team for any thing a may have said that hurt your feelings.

CPD has NEVER offered the Host-Mgr for download in their downloads section. Only the 1st post that I made giving the link to the Host-Mgr. The Host-Mgr is an Option for C4 Servers to use or not.

Thanx Blue. I just figured I make a trial run on it and see how it went.
Then I would submit it after any tweaking it might need.

I was also going to submit the C4IP as well, but at the time CPD was under going an upgrade so i waited. Thanx for the reminder.

The e-mails I got from you I was led to believe that they were about the Host-Mgr and I didn't have enuff facts to respond and I was investigating the issue. And Now you are saying they are about the Player-Manager. Here are some Player-Manager facts.

Player-Manager::
The Player-Manager is only a menu/helper so you do not have to go searching for the files to manually edit them yourself. It will also give you the option for an InGame Timer.

-KeyBoard Macros Editing.
-Read and Edit the C4.CFG file.
-Custom StartUp.htm.
-Custom Hud Colors.
-View Scores.txt.
-Delete SysDump.txt
-Open/Close Comanche4 - with custom options.
-Game and Squad Password Changing - whether playing or not.
-Game Timer.

The Player-Manager DOES NOT:
Player-Manager has NOTHING to do with if you are 8H or 3H.
Player-Manager does not punt anyone, ever.
Player-Manager does not auto explode anyone, ever.
Player-Manager does not change your health, ever.
Player-Manager has never made any claims about 3H/8H.

I hope this clears up any confusion about the Player-Manager.

Host-Mgr does have limits:: hacking cheating??
8H-AP will search for Players in game and checks to see if they are Easy, Normal or Advanced Level by the amount of health they have. If they enter as Easy & too much health, they will be punted.
If a someone enters as Normal, Advanced they will NOT be punted.
Normal, Advanced Levels enter with a certain amount of health while an Easy Level will enter with 3 times that amount of health.

Can someone hack around the FBI, YES.
Can someone hack around Microsoft, YES.
Can someone hack around 8H-AP, sadly the answer is YES.

Hind sight tells me I should have named (8H-AP) to (Easy Level AutoPunt).
But I was going with the flow of familar names of things at the time.

As far as I can tell NO ONE knows how many hits it takes to bring anyone/everyone down to a kill. This is because of way toooo many variants of Internet connections, Lag, Server Processor, Client Processor, Game Glitches, Cheats, Hacks, Etc..

If you are to able to enter a dedicated server as an 8H pilot(easy Level) while the Host-Mgr is operating properly, with 8H-AP Activated on that server and you are never punted, then please e-mail me screen shots, details..

The Player-Manager and the Host-Mgr come with Help Files that do cover the Basics of What they Do..

Death & Taxes are certain, I guess we can also add Cheats!

Host-Mgr v114 with 8H-AP/8H-1C, DE-146, HE-1400

The next version is looking pretty good.
I've totally revamped the 8H code to include a height explode and also checks for efam bug/trick.
It will work like this.

8H-AP/8H-1C: addresses 8H Pilots:
8H-AP will AutoPunt.
8H-1C will change 8H pilots to 1C(1C health = 1 cannon round will kill you)

DE-146: addresses the efam bug/trick:
All Pilots with EFAMS have 14 weapon slots to fill with Hydras, Stingers, HellFires. 8 weapon slots are on your EFAMS. 6 weapon slots are in your bay. For example a 28 stinger loadout.. If a pilot drops efams and still has 28 stingers then the efam bug/trick happened. Sometimes this is random, sometimes it's on purpose. DE-146 will then render the pilots efam weapons useless. The pilot will have 12 good stingers first, then the last 16 stingers will be duds. The pilot will see them being shot and explode but no damage will accure. Everyone else will not see duds being fired, and will take no damage. DE-146 also addresses other weapon loadouts with EFAMS and will work accordingly to weapons in your EFAMS. ALL PILOTS SHOULD KNOW THEIR LOADOUT WHEN THEY FARP. Would any1 go into battle without knowing how much ammo they have. If the efam bug/trick happens to you, just refarp or expect 'duds' onboard.


HE-1400: addresses a ceiling height agl/asl for Pilots:
This will Auto-Explode any Pilot above 1400AGL. 1400AGL is not an exact AGL for exploding. The margin is approx. 1300-1700AGL. I feel this is 100% important for ZONE games. Since this is a generated death, your death message will not show. HE-1400 will message you to suicide as well. You must still suicide & show a death message, to insure NON-INVIS.

How're they 'angin' (lol :)) I have had loadsa problems lately and am at the moment trying to re-install C4, but after going thru the install, everything on my PC tells me its there! but if I try to run the game = nothing happens, :nixweiss.gif: I have even done a manual delete by going into the registry and deleting it all from 'machine and users etc.' :cowboy: but still after a fresh install it still doesn't run! H E L P ! :help: Maybe its the C4GET I need? Advise desperately needed

HE-1400
HE-1400(default) will Auto-Explode any Pilot above 1400AGL. 1400AGL is not an exact AGL for exploding. Height Explode is at an approximate AGL. This is very important for ZONE games. Since this is a generated death, a death message will not show. HE-1400 will post a message to suicide. The Pilot must still suicide and show a death message, to insure NON-Invisibilty. Invisibilty chances are very High after a generated death.

Known Bugs -
1. While map changes or at the begining of game, a HE-1400 message may post for a pilot to suicide.
2. While clearing passwords, you may have to cycle a map, and then another to totally clear passwords.

At this point in time I'm not yet ready to post it on CPD for download, only because of seemingly constant changes and revamping to the C4GET-Host-Mgr.

hey avenger. the v1.1.4 host manager hangs my remote server on reboot, I think cause of the dialog box it displays on close. sometimes server has to reboot itself and sends a broadcast windows message, but the dialog box hangs the reboot. any way to disable that ?

Is it possible to Turn OFF 8H-AP first before trying to close the Host-Mgr?

Is it possible to Try waiting about 15-30 seconds before trying to close the Dialog Box. Let me know if that helps or cures the prob. The Host-Mgr has to have enuff time to finish or close it's processes.

Let me know if those suggestions will work for you.

OK I disabled the Dialog Box this Morning.. Try downloading it again.. Give that a go and let me know how it works for you.
