and why did it happen?

What the #$% is going on..........last night this site did not even exist. then just a cover page and now this.............so an explaination would be nice and maybe some notice to our members would be in order

Well, I tried to get a notice up to everybody - but the vbportal we were using was not compatible with the vbulletin to which we upgraded. And, I had a 'limited time offer' - to get this installed. So, to make a long story short - I had to scoot over to vbportal to purchase the upgraded one, wait for payment to get thru - and get in to download it. Sorry, but I hadn't planned on the index ( the home page ) going 'kapooey' on me - it'll take awhile to get all of the site straight - all of this stuff we have is 'hot off the press' and rather new.

The good news is - everything is 'intact' - and the if you post here on a regular basis, you will notice that overall, this interface is much easier to use. At least, I think so anyway.

I was surprised to see the new site look as well as others, but I think this change if for the better. Doesnt this new software allow for a number of different appearances for the user to chose from, at least two?

Anyway, it's different, but OK by me.

BTW, can an admin or moderator help me. I was trying to change my avatar, and I ended up disabling it. Is it possible to get an avatar again?

Blue. looks like this option needs to be looked at, i cant seem to access this either.

I'm glad you noticed this matter. Please post here or PM me, if you get any news concerning this. I should hear something about my predicament, now that a moderator is aware of the deal. :dance:

Also, can plain registered users have a graphic signature or is that something special? Is there anywhere where I can read about relavent rules concerning such things as this and the permitted size for an avatar or graphic signature?

I uploaded my Avatar and changed it with no probs. There is a size limit of 128 x 128 or 39.1kbs. If you are not exceeding these and not disabling them in your profile (top radio button) ... I don't know.

I'm giving both of you temporary avatars just to make sure it can be done.. you can change them and try again.

BTW - its the User CP link... Avatar sits on the left menu.

Here's the scoop. I 1st checked the radio button when I wanted to add anew avatar because I couldnt see a option to upload a new avatar and the radio button said if I selected it my current avatar would be deleted. I thought that would enable me to then upload a new one.

But it didnt and I had no avatar. Now since you reset that control panel for me, I see the avatar you placed in there, but I still dont see a way for me to upload a new avatar. Am I missing something?
