I had been away from the game for a while, and when I went to connect to NovaWorld, nothing happened. I fired up my copy of BHD, and everything worked fine. When I ping Novaworld.com, I get several "Request Timed Out" messages. Does anyone have any idea what is going on? I did change routers (D-link DI-524), but all of the settings were the same. If you have any ideas what to change or fix, please let me know.

I wouldn't even know where to begin with routers since I'm having a problem with NovaWorld and the use of a router. I'm guessing that it's something to do with settings on your router since there are some 27 threads or so on the subject of routers on NovaWorld forums. Since the update of JO I'm unable to connect to my friend when he hosts. He also has a router and cannot connect if I host. We both get the "enumerating session" error of death. I've posted and searched for an answer but to tell you the truth I don't think anyone over there knows how to fix the problem or probably don't want to spare the time to find a solution to the problem. I've narrowed it down to two things, either it's NovaLogic or it's a conflict with SP1 and SP2 because my friend has SP1 and I have SP2 but defiantly a problem with two people trying to connect with routers. If anyone here can shed some light I would really like some help.

I can tell you this. I can serve and play with players getting in. If I serve dedicated on pc 2 there r cis after about 2 minutes then there booted when they try to re join then enermerating error. I have to then power the router on off and the same thing all over again. I have service pack 2 on both pcs the one I log into the dedicated server has the cis and gets booted all so.

At least you guys are connecting and getting errors. All I get is the "Connecting to NovaWorld" screen, and nothing happens. When I ping it, I get to about 15 hops and then get "Request Timed Out". **** router. I should have kept my old one. At least I could connect.

I'm sure you know more about it then I do but check your firewall...or FireWall in router...I'm sure you have, wish I knew more.

I am no longer having problems with Novaworld, and it WAS NOT related to the game or the router at all. The problem was with Norton Anti-virus 2005. There is an "Internet Worm Protection" feature that acts like a firewall. Even though I had given Joint Ops permission to access the net, it was still being blocked. I checked with D-Link, the manufacturer of my router, and they said that anyone running a router with a built-in firewall can disable this feature in Norton (or the Windows Firewall), and still be protected. So, I disabled the "Worm Blocker" and everything works fine.
