You gotta love Robin Williams... Leave it to Robin Williams to come up with the perfect plan . What we need now is for our UN Ambassador to stand up and repeat this message.

Robin William's plan...(Hard to argue with this logic!)

I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of a plan for peace. So, here's one plan.

1.) The US will apologize to the world for our "interference" in their affairs, past & present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini, Tojo, Noriega, Milosevic and the rest of those 'good ole boys,' We will never "interfere" again.

2.) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany, South Korea and the Philippines. They don't want us there. We would station troops at our borders.. No one sneaking through holes in the fence.

3.) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave. We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of who or where they are. France would welcome them.

4.) All ! future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days unless given a special permit. No one from a terrorist nation would be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself and don't hide here. Asylum would never be available to anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers or 7-11 cashiers.

5.) No foreign "students" over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, they get a "D" and it's back home baby.

6.) The US will make a strong effort to become self-sufficient energy wise. This will include developing nonpolluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while.

7.) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel! for their oil. If they don't like it, we go some place else. They can go somewhere else to sell their production. (About a week of the wells filling up the storage sites would be enough.)

8.) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not "interfere." They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides most of what we give them is stolen or given to the army. The people who need it most get very little, if anything.

9.) Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island some place. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, the building would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.

10.) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us "Ugly Americans" any longer. The Language we speak is ENGLISH.....learn it...or LEAVE...Now, isn't that a winner of a plan.

"The Statue of Liberty is no longer saying 'Give me your poor, your tired, your huddled masses.' She's got a baseball bat and she's yelling,

'You want a piece of me?'"

Hiya!
I'm gonna try to reply to that, but please forgive me if I make a hash of it as I am primiraly a soldier-(my chosen career)-and not a politician!

There is a song out called "we didn't start the fire" its very apt in this situation! I have been around the world in the Airforce and later as a Mercinary (although I prefer the term 'contractor'), somebody, somewhere, years ago in the begining, built a fence, and its been going on ever since, like a rolling snowball it just keeps getting bigger, when one is confonted by different religions & cultures, then fences happen, the Statue of Liberty was an attempt to knock down the fences. Some people try to knock down these fences with violence, especially the Muslim states, I am not and don't want to be predudice! but I have learnt throughout my career that Islam breeds terror, its a way of life & to them life is cheap, they seem to think that there is no heaven on earth, what they don't seem to realise is that heaven is what you make it, but blowing yourself up just to try to knock down these fences and destroy other peoples way of life, is an easy way out as they truly believe they are guaranteed a place in heaven for doing that! In the Arab states there is a hierarchy! The Sheikhs are the "royals" of the nations and the "jingly's" (for the want of a better term) are the peasants. The Sheikhs make the rules, but don't abide by them, where as the jingly's have to, A prime example of this is Ramadan, they must fast from sunrise to sunset, absolutely nothing must pass their lips. the rulers don't abide by this, but they do enforce it on the peasants, so where the hell is the justice there, but it does create a "fence"!
And just to add When I was in the middle east, I learnt of how the term "taking the piss" was created, The rulers are allowed to drink but the peasants are not! so just to get drunk, the peasants dig a trench where the royals can go to the toilet, this trench is deep and the peasants hide in it with pitchers to catch the urine so they then drink and get themselves drunk, hence the term "taking the piss" daft innit! So to summarise, there is one rule for the rich and another for the poor (another bloody fence).

May God bless the Peacekeepers.

widowmaker, you say that "heaven is what you make it" but you close your responce with "May God bless the Peacekeepers." What you have commited, is an oxymoron. Heaven being whatever we, finate beings, make of it and "God" are 2 things that are totally opposite. God prepared heaven for the faithful to Him (meaning those who accept the Savior, Jesus Christ and what he did on the cross to save us from our sins) and heaven is NOT what we want tit to be, but rather is what it is. The muslims worship a false god, not the one true God of Abraham. Jehova, Yaweh. The Alpha and the Omega. So, please, refrain yourself from the blasphemy(maligning of anothers charecter) of error, but rather seek what is good, what is true. "I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man cometh unto the Father but by me"--Jesus Christ. The Holy Bible testifies without error that Heaven is real and that the creator of Heaven and earth is sovereign over all things.

Please take note that I said "Heaven on Earth"! all I wanted to do was express my opinion, I don't really want to get into a discussion or argument on religion, as this in my mind is the primary cause of wars. Churchill said after the second world war that the third world war will start in someones living room, so I absolutely refuse to have YOU in MY living room!

These are extracts taken from The Oxford English Dictionary-Reference Library-Religion & Philosophy.
God (in Christianity and other monotheistic religions) the creator and ruler of the universe; the supreme being.
2. (god) a superhuman being or spirit worshipped as having power over nature or human fortunes; a deity. šan image of a god; an idol.
3. (god) a greatly admired or influential person.
4. the gods informal the gallery in a theatre.

Ninety-nine beautiful names of God.
The names of Allh in Islam, most of which are taken or derived from the Qur'n. There are several different lists, and while each list contains ninety-nine names, there are variations in the lists. The names are called al-asm' al-usn, from 7. 179. The names are divided into two categories, those of essence (al-dhat) and those of quality (al-ift). They are also divided into the names of mercy and the names of majesty (or judgement), al-jaml wa'l-jall.

Christianity
Heaven is held to be the domain of God and the angels, and ultimately of all the redeemed, where they receive their eternal reward. Traditional Catholic doctrine holds that the souls of those who have died in a state of grace, which have been first purged of their stains in purgatory, pass to heaven, where they enjoy perfect bliss; but, except for the Virgin Mary, these souls still await reunion with their bodies at the general resurrection.

Islam
The Arabic terms are Janna, egardenf, and Firdaws, eparadisef. The Qurfn mentions jannt al-na'm egardens of delightf (10. 9); jannt 'Adn, egardens of Edenf (19. 62, 61. 12); egardens beneath which rivers flowf (3. 137, 61. 12). The delights of heaven and the punishments of hell (jahannam, or al-nr = the fire) are vividly described in early sras of the Qurfn.

Some theologians preferred allegorical interpretation for all the descriptions given in Qur'n and adth. The Mu'tazilites in particular denied any form of eseeingf Allh; the Ash'arites ( al-Ash'ari) allowed for some form of divine vision, interpreted bi-l kayf, without asking ehowf. Sfs taught that although the joys of paradise would be real, the greatest of all would be the vision of Allh.

So I hope you are now better informed.
Have a Good Day.

granted, you did say heaven on earth beforehand, so I will appologize for that. But I do have to make a note that Catholocism is NOT christianity, it just steals our title. Christianity does NOT claim purgatory. Purgatory is a fictional place where souls can be prayed into heaven because they didnt have enough good works to send them directly. The Bible teaches that salvation is by faith alone not works. Ephesians 2:8-9 says "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." if what I say offends you, dont get mad at me, it is the truth of God, not of me. But " Not of works, lest any man should boast" says it clearly that purgatory is not real, because man is not saved by works, therefore there is no need for a middle ground, if you will, for souls to recieve prayers to get them into Heaven. But the "grace, through faith" means that you believe that when Jesus Christ (God the son, pertaining to the trinity, One God, 3 persons. All God, all one God, but 3 entities. I dont understand it totally, but that just shows how far above us God is and how much we should worship Him for being so great) But back to what I was saying. You believe that Jesus lived a sinless life and he died on the Cross to pay the penalty for our sins, and that we accept that gift, and we let him take our sins off of us and place it on himself, so that we may be redeemed and gain everlasting life. Alright guys, Im done preachin', lol, Take it easy, but if you have any questions, just PM me.
