wingman joystick trouble

Any know how to make a wingman 3 D digital exstreme rapid fire. i get one stinger with each press, same with all other buttons, including flares. I had to remap through the game. because the wingman profiler doesn't work in the game. so i cant set the speed there. Im using windows XP. the stick is caliberated. every thing else .works. :snipersmilie.gif:

I think you are posting your question in the wrong section Reaper... Your mention of flares and stingers sound like C4.

There is a topic or two in that forum that deals with that, but the long and short of it is this....

Go to Control Panel > Keyboard > and set your repeat rate to a faster rate...

By the way... if you feel the need, you can erase this thread or move it to the C4 forums by going to Edit > Delete this message ! :thumb:

Edited to Include: Odd, but my WingMan Profiler works in C4 using XP. Also - setting your repeat rate without using additional programming to 'monitor' the speed will unload your Stingers and Flares at a rate that might cause lag. (My keyboard Rate setting is a slide with no numeric values. I didn't bother looking in the configuration files and instead used a macros program to set the value)

My key board rate is fine. I use another stick with no probs. when i set up with the profiler all comands are accepted, the game will start, but all bottons stay set at the games default settings. so i remaped in game opps. i guess I will have to set the macros like you said.

I have the same stick and same problem, the only way to get the rapid fire is with the keyboard so I use a combination of both during gaming. I also like to use the keyboard for weapon selection rather than scrolling with a joystick button so I have the keyboard and stick on my lap anyway so it's not that difficult an adjustment. If you do manage to figure out a way to use rapid fire with the stick, please post it for the rest of us wingman users! Thanks.

When I installed XP on my machine I hade the same problem.

What I did was I downloaded the LWS 4.20 again and reinstalled it.

There is a profile in the Profiler, you will get a little Icon next to the game Comanche 4.

Map the trigger to enter, go to record and slide the ''slidder'' in the middle and press ok

You should have that new ''X'' command on the list.

Just use it and remember dont close the profiler while playing, its not necessary to remap in the Comanche 4 software the WS takes care of it (expt for the mouse and some stuff)
