Novalogic Inc. Commits Its Heart (And Resources) For The Children Of Heroes On-Line
Las Vegas, NV — 8/18/2004 – The Gala for the Children of Heroes announced today that NovaLogic Inc. (the top military simulation computer game developer and publisher in the industry) has generously agreed to design and host the official website (www.Gala3.com) promoting this year's Gala, being held on Saturday November 20th and Sunday, November 21st at the Las Vegas Hilton in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Gala for the Children of Heroes raises funds to provide for the post high school education of all the children of every Special Operations soldier, sailor, or airman who falls in a training or operational mission.

The Gala for the Children of Heroes was founded by New York Times and International best-selling novelist Richard Steinberg to aid the Special Operations Warrior Foundation in its mission to provide a chance at a future for the children of our lost heroes. Now in its third year, the Gala Organization rejects any embracement of politics or policies, while it delivers 100% of all funds raised to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, and takes no fees, salaries or expense compensation for their efforts.

"Some stand and watch, some run and hide, but on every occasion that they’ve been called to action, the noble and patriotic men and women of NovaLogic Inc. have stood firmly behind the children of our fallen members of the Special Operations Community,” Gala National Chair Richard Steinberg said at the announcement. “Their commitment is in the finest traditions of Americanism, and the Gala Organization is honored to be associated with them.”

Founded in 1985 NovaLogic Inc. is a developer and global publisher of computer games for the PC, PlayStation® and PlayStation® 2 game consoles, NINTENDO GAMECUBE and Xbox™ video game system. NovaLogic, "New Logic," represents a vision of designing and developing games from a new perspective. It is this new perspective that continually drives the company to produce innovative, leading-edge technology in order to achieve realistic environments, stunning graphics and addictive gameplay.

Success in the consumer military simulation market brought NovaLogic to the attention of the US Army. In 1999 NovaLogic Systems Inc. (NLS) was established to capitalize on the technologies NovaLogic had developed for the gaming market by bringing them to the military and civilian training communities. NLS has worked with several US Army commands, notably as provider of training software for the Land Warrior soldier system. NovaLogic also has continued strategic partnerships with defense contractors such as Lockheed Martin, Boeing and Sikorsky. Through its breakthrough technology, advanced graphics and innovative game design, coupled with 17 years experience in development, NovaLogic delivers thoroughly challenging and entertaining games to its customers every time.

“NovaLogic is a proud supporter of the Gala Weekend for the Children of Heroes benefiting the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. As long-term supporters of both the SOWF and the Gala, we are very pleased to have helped in the creation of this web site and encourage every visitor to join us in Las Vegas for a really big weekend and two great shows saluting some true American heroes, and embracing their children left behind,” said Lee Milligan, President of NovaLogic, when the website went online.

Among those scheduled to appear in the two – different – shows on Gala Weekend are: Tim Conway & Harvey Korman, Connie Stevens, Amanda McBroom (The Rose) James Avery (The Fresh Prince of Bel Air) Lynn Herring (Port Charles, General Hospital) Jacklyn Zeman (General Hospital) Teryl Rothery (Stargate: SG: 1); and – schedule permitting – Leeza Gibbons (Entertainment Tonight) Peter Strauss (Rich Man Poor Man) and boxing champion Sugar Ray Leonard.

“We live in a world that demands a bottom line,” Gala National Chair Richard Steinberg added. “So, to have an organization like NovaLogic Inc. stand up and volunteer their facilities, services, and resources to make these children their bottom line, is an incredible gift. One of the highest quality to all the men and women of America’s Special Operations Community; letting them know of the caring and support for children they leave behind.”

As you finish reading this, a squad from a Special Operations unit is preparing to go out on a lonely patrol. They will leave the relative safety of their camp and move out into that crucible of life and death that is their world this day; not seeking conquest, glory, riches, land, or
anything at all, beyond this:

They seek to make men free . . . in body, in mind, in spirit.

This is about these heroes.

This is about their children.

This is about being a hero to the children of heroes.
