Picture display error

Ok, I have been running into erros with pictures on a webpage. I can get some pictures, like on my website i can see the pictures of myself i put on. But on messenger.yahoo.com the pictures wont show up, its just a red x. Also, with this problem is I cannot download the update for yahoo messenger. It says it cannot connect with network server and gives me an error 26. can somebody PLEASE help me???

Update your Internet Explorer..also update your version of windows.

Ok, I fixed this problem a long time ago, but saw this post and decided to post the fix to it in case others have this problem

Here is what I did: I went to Tools: Internet Options: Settings and checked the radio button "Automatically" under "Check for updated versions of stored pages:"
