Climax developing Xbox version of PC Best Seller
CALABASAS, CA (May 10th, 2004) - Entertainment software developer and publisher NovaLogic, Inc. today announced that Delta Force – Black Hawk Down is currently under development for the Xbox® video game system from Microsoft.
Set in Somalia in 1993, Delta Force – Black Hawk Down is based upon and around the Operation Restore Hope and Task Force Ranger campaigns and follows members of the elite Delta Force and US Army Rangers as they participate in a number of daring raids against the oppressive Somali warlords in and around Mogadishu. Developed by Climax, Delta Force – Black Hawk Down brings the intensity of Modern Warfare to Xbox!
Delta Force – Black Hawk Down Xbox Features:
16 intense single player missions.
Breath-taking single player missions with authentic Somalian buildings and terrain.
Multiplayer combat through Xbox™ Live with up to 16 players.
Split screen (x4) Co-Op missions (Exclusive to Xbox.)
Voice communication through Xbox Live that enhances team-play
Issue teammate commands to your AI teammates using voice recognition technology.
New multiplayer maps/modes for the Xbox.
Tutorial mode for newcomers.
NovaLogic has also teamed up with the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. A portion of the proceeds from the Xbox version of Delta Force – Black Hawk Down will be donated to the foundation. The SOWF provides college scholarship grants, along with financial aid and educational counseling to the children of Special Operations personnel who were killed in an operational mission or training accident.
Delta Force – Black Hawk Down is scheduled to ship for Xbox in late 2004.
