also host has the optain to turn on AI for m/p game also that optain is in host seting's. this is for the game type in the demo and probally others also . turn on AI when you host puts AI at the different base's to help protect the base so it isnt run over easy . the host has a whole lotta thing's he can set up now there's even a spectator mode to turn on hum he he spectator mode has alot of possibilitys eh . can maybe limit the amount of death's a player can get before they wind up as a spectator lmao or place no no players there like go to the corner you you bad player rotflmao :P . all in all i think NL done ok even though the demo is a older version of the beta test then i have hopefully NL will release at least the version beta we tested . belive me it's more polished then this current demo also the map in the demo if you play it long enough the sun should set and moon rise

well after playing it a short time I do think this ones a keeper.
has some bugs but they will be fixed eventualy.
Does the wheeled vehicles controls seem slugish to anyone else.
If it actualy does get co-op I may very well be my fav in the future.

Yes, it does take some serious hardware - but I can tell some very big differences in a server that Nova Hosts in the Beta Trials vs. some of the Hosting in the Demo. Some of these people should try lowering the number of players they 'think' they can host - their computers/connections aren't up to the task.

Yes there are some bugs - and many vehicle problems are in the middle of being tried and repaired - tried again and repaired some more...on and on ( you get the idea. )

Yes Wildman, the game does tend to 'lag' on my puter - when vehicles get involved - especially if you combine water, choppers and any weapons firing. It moves like soup at that point - and resumes normal speed when rotors and firing stop.

Its an immensely enjoyable game. The one complaint I have - aside from the bugs that are being worked on - is allowing snipers to get all of the experience points while essentially being ineffective in actually helping the team win a game. But then again, I'm not even a stats player.

Well for a beta demo it played pretty good on my packard bell...no serious problems ecept I got a sysdump error at one point of getting blown out of the sky in a chopper but thats why its a beta, all the bugs need to be worked out. Other wise then that I'm pretty excited about it and can't wait for the full version.

Just tried the thing. I LIKE A LOT!!!! And it runs like a breeze, unlike UT2004.

Just a question: How do you change spots in the vehicles? i want to hit the machine guns or whatever so i press "shift" and i am out of the vehicle or even on top of the roof. Same with choppers, i am out of the chopper, on the other side and such... In Battlefield 1942, you just press the numbers for the positions and you're there...

By the way, the choppers fly the way they should!! In Battlefield getting good at the chopper take way too much work. Here they behave just fine for everyone to get a hang of it and be effective and spice the games a lot: I just love making passes over ennemy bases with all guns blazing... GOOD STUFF!!

Thanks!

You can now operate land, sea, and air vehicles.

The controls are simple.

Walk up to a vehicle and see the attach points.
Press the SHIFT key to connect to the highlighted point.
To detach, press the SHIFT key again.
To move to an empty seat shown in the vehicle display of the HUD,
press the SHIFT key and the corresponding number key at the same time.

Use the typical WASD keyboard keys to control movement.
Steer the vehicle by moving the mouse. To look around without turning
the vehicle, hold down the right mouse button and move the mouse.

Players can control any vehicle they come across on the battlefield.
If the enemy leaves a vehicle unattended, you can jump in and take
control.

You can drive each vehicle at three different speeds. Control your
speed with these keys: Z (slow) X (medium) C (fast)

For helicopters, press the E key to raise your elevation. Press the
Q key to lower your elevation.
Press and hold the SPACE key to increase your altitude temporarily.
To orbit an area, press the W key and either the A key or the D key.

The final version of the game will offer more vehicles than the beta.

The only thing at this point that’s kind of a slump is all the people on-line right now who are just messing with the vehicles and firing at anything that moves. No organization at all! lol This game is going to be fun as hell when people start working in a team effort and it will make for some really interesting situations. I guess at this point everyone’s only interested in figuring out what everything does, which is cool. Being a hardcore Rainbow Six follower I like the tactical aspect of the game and I just hope others at least get a little more serious about that when this game comes out. I can imagine massive organized attacks on the enemy and how exciting and realistic that is going to be. I salute NovaLogic for their efforts in this game.
