There is now a Team working to enhance, modify, and better the gameplay in C4, Working togeather, sharing notes, and comparing progress....

So far members include:

Progress and information is not disclosed publicly.
Things will be released when complete....

Well some of you saw or joined the C4GET 8hAutoPunt server. It appears to be a success.
The 8h AutoPunt Option will most likely be a part of the C4GET-Host-Manager. This is planned to be included in the C4GET-UD(Ultimate Download) That's sort of my nick name for it.
Just a small progress report for anyone interested....


side note:
Bane, Master X, and I have been working very hard to come up
with new and used ideas to Fix or Enhance C4.
Many things are Looking to be available...
Here are a few..

User friendly menu's in game for new game types.
New Terrains
New Env's(skys)
C4GET-Host-Manager
(8h AutoPunt, Map Manager, Several Host Options, etc...)
C4GET-Player-Manager(right now only planned)

are you using scripting, vb, or building a packet scanner to perform this function ? The reason I'm asking is that the firewall I use (outpost) is open source, and I've often thought that re-building the packet scanner code would be an easy way to accomplish one or all of the following:
- autopunt
- allowing "voting" punts by players, or other "voting" actions (skip game, resetserver, mute a player , etc)
- controlling via the datastream the ability to use compression macros (limit the gun speed, for example)
- could also be used to build a server interface to display ping speed, ci status, etc and use autopunt to punt bad connections (cabling or otherwise) etc

anyway, just curious

The Host-Manager is built with VB6.

8H AutoPunt Option::
So far No double/triple kills, no xtra lag.
It Searches for Players over 3H.
Sends a Game Message as to who is 8H.
Sends a Game Message that the 8H Player will be Punted.
Then Punts 8H player.


I'm also still testing and tweakin the 8H AutoPunt option to make it even better. Also No Beta Release as of yet.

IN-GAME TIMER(time remaining in game) option for the C4GET-Player-Managerv20.
Testing and working VERY well in C4v20Fixed version.
I hope to release Player-Managerv20 very soon.
Player-Manager for C4v15 may not be for quite awhile. C4v15 is different then C4v20 concerning Direct3D info.

sidenote: 8H-AP option inside the Host-Manager(not yet available at the time of this post) is still under revamping. Now that an In-Game Timer is possible, 8H-AP will go into a major overhaul concerning In Game Auto Admin posted time and messages..

Kewl Avenger, I look forward to its release! The clock used in the 8H AP is good, but this is awesome! Especially during those last few seconds of crunch time, LOL! A player manager makes it interesting. Keep up the good work buddy.:099.gif:
