I used to play America's Army. The game has a punt vote sys built in. It was a standard to punt vote any player with a 400+ ping to reduce lag ingame for all. Most Nova Games you can see Ping time before entering the game.
As a standard for myself and as well as many others we try not to enter a game showing a 200+ ping and 400 ping should be a Max.. There is also some games that will not allow you to join if your ping is to high. Any thoughts or comments on this??

What are you asking avenger? If someone else would agree or disagree to the Idea of not being allowed If ping is to high. then I agree I think that that would be benifical to the game, Anything that reduces the lag is Fine By Me!

Since last August I had dial-up and just didnt play online. Finally got DSL, and my Pings in the servers usually starts at 400 on a good day. Fortunately, in about 1 month Ill be able to go back to Broadband, but it would suck to not be able to join servers and play because my area only has bad DSL available.

avenger, here is something for the wish-list.
would it be possible to have a in-game ping measurement like in battlefield?
or at least an indicator like in joint operations (green, yellow, red)?

Not that I know of... But I do have a couple of ideas that I'll check into when I get a free second or 2..
