Season's greetings!

Firstly, we want to thank you for your support over the last 12 months. 2003 was a great year for NovaLogic and a lot of that was down to the great response we got from you for Delta Force - Black Hawk Down.

2004 will be a big year for us with the launch of Team Sabre and Joint Operations, as well as a few announcements I cannot mention yet, but everything will become clear at the E3 show in May!

So onto a few of the most popular questions that keep on getting asked...

Where are the Mod Tools for DF - BHD?

The mod tools for DF - BHD are now scheduled for release in the New Year. We had to delay their release while the new update for BHD is being completed. This update tackles a number of issues, including several anti-cheat measures and will allow the use of modified Skins, Objects etc in the new 'Mod' section of NovaWorld. This update should go live for all versions of the game (US, French, German etc) around mid Jan 2004. Once all the versions have been updated, the mod tools will be released.

Are there plans to release new NovaWorld maps for DF - BHD?

We definitely understand that there needs to be map rotation for NovaWorld games. We do intend to tackle this issue in the very near future. We only have so many maps, and a certain number of mapmakers in house who are tied up with Joint Operations right now.

While this situation is not likely to change in the near future, the NovaXchange system and the launch of Team Sabre will help improve the situation.

Thank you for your patience regarding this area, and we are very aware of this need, and do intend to tackle this problem as soon as is feasible.

Get rid of all the cheaters!!!!!

Cheating is an issue in every game that has an online component, and will continue to be an issue. There will always be people who get pleasure out of spoiling things for others, whether it is by creating a trainer or using a cheat program in a game. We do spend a lot of time and effort combating cheats but unfortunately there is no easy solution.

We cannot go into detail about the methods used to combat the efforts of these people. What we can say is that we are constantly monitoring the situation and taking action to both nullify cheat programs and ban those who use them from playing over NovaWorld.

Female characters for Delta Force - Black Hawk Down!

There were no females in combat during the Black Hawk Down incident, so we decided not to include female skins in the game. Female Characters will be included in Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising.

Are there plans for official NovaLogic Tournaments?

We plan to start running official NovaWorld Tournaments in early 2004. These tournaments will be small scale initially, but as we get the tournament system up and running smoothly, they will increase in frequency and number of participants.

See you in the New Year!
