Hi just posted in the df2 mapsection on checkpoint delta a small and simple example map to show how 3 dimensional
Areatriggers can be used. It defines X,Y and Z direction of the areatrigger.
First intend was to show that it is possible to use them in this way.
I wasnt sure if that fact was widly know.
Second I used it in a sense to restrict people from prone jumping all the time in a restricted area. So trying to achieve a clean 1 on 1 Knife Only area.
Off course the Dome maps do the same, maybe even better, But there the space is limited to the dome and with this trigger setting you could make the area much bigger. Anyway just another way to give hosts some restriction possibilities.
With this 3D cube areatriggers settings.
There are many nice featuers possible.
In missions,Coops and as shown in MP maps
All was done with with one 3d Cubic Area trigger.
I didnt see many maps using this feature and in my view it could lead to some nice mapping features so thats Why :) I posted it.
Hope this 3D cube areatrigger feature is to someones use ..and if so then if map implementation is posted ...to all of us :)
Happy playing and mapmaking
