HI everyone i have a norton firewall running, but the only way to log into comanche4 is by disabling the firewall. Is their another port i need to open in my firewall, or this is the only way? This is what i get MISSING FAILURE PARAM CODE 1003

No you need to open the fire wall to let the game out heres what you do. open norton, click on personal fire wall, select internet access controle, click on add, select the folder where c4 is installed (novalogic/ then c4}, Then select the exe file that starts the game. set the rule to permit it to access the internet. then set it to conect to other computers, choose ant computer next box. my ptotocals are set to TPC and UDP. in the next box check create an entry log then hit next. and click next to the next box and finish on the last one.

i did step by step to your respones but nothing work. Looks like their is lots of people have the same problem i got. Novaworld support was to disable the firewall. This can be found in the Novaword support page for Blackhawk down and thats only advise they can give you.:flames:

I play with norton up in c4 and BHD. The settings I told you were what I did to be able to do it. Are you blocking the active x controles, or java applets ? look in the personal fire wall setting under custum. And check the apps setting and make sure it says permit all for those games. Don't know what else to tell you. Are you sure you permitted the exe file ?.
