Hey, just a note about a few command line options available in C4. For those that dont know, command line options go In the "Target" box at the end of your shortcut target, outside the last quote like so.
"C:\Program Files\Novalogic\Comanche 4\c4.exe" /OPTION
Known command options...
/? --brings up the list of known command options
/m --Enable mono monitor debugging
/d --read resource directly from folder instead of pff(this is required for terrian mods as well as any editing done to pff files that you dont want to or cant repack, allows you to place oyur files in the game dir and use them)
/r --Record demo
/p --filename Play back the demo record
/l --Turn on error logging
/s --Turn on save scores mode
/sys --Get system information
And maybe a few unknown's
/VIDTEST --reruns the Video test done during the intial install, useful if you change video drivers or cards I guess.
/NOPARTICLES --turns Off particle rendering(may provide better performace for slower pc's)
/NOSMOKE --Turns off Explosion Smoke
/NOHUD --Turns off the entire HUD display leaving a clear veiw window(nice for terrian browsing)
/FRISK --Logs every file loaded in use by the game into "_filelog.txt" in the game root.
/PUNT.TXT --Creates a file "_PUNT.xtx" in the game root and logs the name of each player that was punted.
/BADPACKETS --not really sure yet, it places a small "s:0 and c:0" in the hud display I am guessing it counts bad packets from the s-Server, c-Client dont know yet, if anyone figures it out please post.
There are a few others which I have not tested yet but will post them once I do. See ya................
Edited to include:
The ones I did not test yet I will post anyways incase someone else has time before I do, but please let us know what you found out.
