Had a few questions about BHD concerning effects, sounds, and damage causing events in multiplayer maps...

1) I've heard that ALL particle effects can only be seen by the host. Is this true? (And, if it is true, does anyone know the reasoning for this???)

2) Is it possible to trigger specific sounds? If so, then how? Will other players hear it, too?

3) Can you create an event that causes damage in a general area? By damage I mean that it would harm EVERYONE in a specific area. Not necessarily kill them, but mess 'em up pretty bad. I've tried triggering a barrel to teleport to an area and created an event to "kill" the barrel. It worked but was only good as a one shot deal. I'm talking about a reset-able event that could be triggered over and over. (Ohhhh, could I respawn the barrel?!?!?)

4) I've heard that it is possible to respawn NPC teammates in MP maps. Can it be done?

#1 .yes its true only host will see the teleported special effects drag 2 because i have the mortar fieing and the flash is almost in synic w/the outgoing round snd in the warfog sound marker .

#2. same same it is possible to have dialog sound wav's in a bhd map , but only host hears em . and a wac file must be created for the dialog to work . in the bhd dndl section is
The Wav file listing for Black Hawk Down. It does not contain any sound effects as they are usually attached to the effect. Also, you will need to make and load a WAC to have them work during gameplay.

#3, yee you can do this i'll ask the person i know whom has done this how he done it then post it here for you and all

4) I've heard that it is possible to respawn NPC teammates in MP maps. Can it be done? ?? are you askn if a team8 can be revived by a medic if so yes only by a medic charecter and only if he presses #9 for the medic pk . and only if the other player wasnt killed via headshot and if not then i no understand what ya mean by NPC tm8

answer is
want a slow kill or revive erea in bhd its very simple
set a Area Trigger highlight it
then put check the Health Box
a negative # kills
a positve # heals
-3 kills slow
-99 is instant
just play with the #s until it seems right
i like -10 for fire it takes about 3 to 4 seconds to die
just enough time to get out of the fire and be seriously injured
or stay and die
