Who's the host?

You know when you're playing a map and you hit "C" for the Commanders Screen then you click on "Mission" and it shows a list with a spot for the Mission Name, Host, Game Settings etc?

Why is it that in some maps there's info here and some there's not? In the maps I've made there's nothing there even though I put stuff in under General Info screen while building the map but it doesn't show up here during game play.

So how does it get in there?:puzzled:

i never really thought about it Mac, i seldom go there.

i remember that a few times i wanted the packed map name of a stock map & it didn't show when i hosted it, but it would show for the joining players. maybe thats it?

yes i agree w/anthony i just checked a tfd dm map and no info . but i do remember when in other server's , hit c then mission in comander's screen . i would look when i cought ppl saying the map was thier's when in fact i made map and in commander's screen under mission my name and map name was in the mission box . must be another n/l goof . i wouldnt worry though as long as you place the info other ppl will see said info when ya host .

I'll bet that's it Anthony. When you're hosting other people can see it but you can't.

And, once again Edward thanks for your 2 cents. I'm enjoying a bunch of your maps. I wasn't really worried about it just wanted to see if I could stump you guys. I'd be shocked if anyone even wanted one of my maps. lol :shocked2:

why do you say that mac, do they suk? im sure they dont suck lol if ya wish to map just read all you can about df mappn. then when ya make a map test it on line to see what ppl's reaction is . allways tell ppl new map and ask them to report any problems they may find. most ppl will do this n/p this is 1 way for feed back and what ppl like and dislike :tumble:
