View Full Version : Parachute fix tutorial and example map ! Df2

Hello all, I finished a Parachute fix tutorial and an example map to show it.

There are 2 Para maps out right now which allow all players in MP ( DF2) to catch a parachute !

1. Red Dawn map. includes: Parachute tutorial, Teleport & Assigning Tutorial, Shading Tutorial, read me, Red Dawn BMS.and orig. MIS. file.

2. Horizon I which introduces the game play of Para the Flag game type (version of CTF where without paraskills you wont be able to get all flags )


Hopefully this will spice up good old DF2
again so mapmakers will be able to incorporate more Aviation Soldiers in maps:)

Basically the names and maps read themselves... personally i like the Horizon feature very much ( the Horizon view you have when being airborn :), possible due to Para fix, assigning fix and terrain Shading )

I hope this will inspire some mapmakers to incorporate more Para troops or airborn divisions :wink:

Let the Para games begin!!! :D

And if it works will there be a ... Para server, Squad.. ? :-D

In tribute to the Tag squad ( 1e airborn division :wink: ) which helped to test this map in order to bring Red Dawn map from 4 people catching parachutes to 16 people being able to catch a parachute.

( mind you host and players will have to have divine connections as comp abilities to over come the lag so all 16 can be in air at the same time, in the test there were at least 6 to 7 Para`s in the air at the same time )

Also the Red Dawn and Horizon maps are updated I fixed a few event bugs in them and the aligning of some items has been cleaned.
