after spending hrs trying to pass this stage i'd thought i'd share the info
starting info
- there are 2 enemy commando teams on ski bikes located on the left and right side of the main area you have to kill them first otherwise they will shoot down the blackhawk - and theres too many of them to shoot all at once in the main area
- there is a second farp located to the L of the main route (ie following way points)
how to pass
1) go and kill the first bunch of ski bikes - from starting point fly directly east for 1000m then fly directly north until you you reach a point where your compass when facing north shows both the way point alpha and farp to be in the R lower quadrant,, 4377 from waypoint 1 and 1743 from farp
- you will meet a bunch of helicopters along the way load up on stingers at the start and shoot them down
if you want
2) fly to near the main area, don't get too close otherwise it will trigger a call to send in your commando blackhawk (which will get shot down), and shoot the missile launchers with your cannon (it works long range!) until the displays says there are 6 targets left (don't kill anymore otherwise call to commando balckhawk will get triggered also)
3) now fly north for a bit and then directly east around the main area so that you are now on the other side of the main area, fly to a point where when facing directly north the way point and farp point is due south on the compass and reading farp1743 way4377, this is where the second lot of ski bikes are, kill them
4) now fly to the second farp (just follow the indicator on the compass) reload,
5) fly to the main area and start killing all the other sams, be quick because the blackhawk with the commandos will be coming and if you don't kill all the missile lauchers it will get shot down
- i hope this helps any of you out there who like me have had a hell of a time getting thru this stage
